About the course:
The B.A. in Sociology is a three-year, full-time course divided into three parts, consisting of six Semesters. The course aims to provide a systematic introduction to sociology in general as well as sociological studies in India. It lays emphasis on the theoretical and methodological functions of Sociology. Contributions of eminent Indian sociologists and fundamental themes of Indian Society are also included in the syllabus. The degree course also covers the study of some of its specialized field namely Rural Sociology, Urban Sociology, and Industrial Sociology
Course Duration: 3 years
Eligibility: The main requirement for pursuing B.A. Sociology degree is qualifying 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized school board.
